HOLLYWOOD MEN WE LOVE......BYUNG HUN LEE!!!!!!!

Byung Hun Lee is very famous in

South Korea, but he is becoming more famous in America.  While spending time in South Korea, I was made aware of this gorgeous and talented thespian.

You've seen him in Red 2, in the remake of the Magnificent Seven, G.I. Joe, and in the last Terminator Movie. He is smart and acclaimed as a top notch actor. In the movie Red 2, he showed his comedic talent as a very determined assassin. He is suave and debonair in interviews. If you want to see his physical offerings, you should watch G.I.. Joe 1 in which he "must" rip off the top part of his costume when he is slashed across the chest. I certainly didn't question the reasonableness of this part of the plot; I just enjoyed the view. I hope to see more of him in the future in more Hollywood movies.

If you think that some of his movies would be of interest to you then......TRY THEM!!!!!!!

RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT ODDITORIUM IN BALTIMORE

I visited the Baltimore Harbor this summer. It has sightseeing boats, restaurants, shops, and the Ripley's Believe or Not Odditorium, and much more.

I have always been curious about what oddities that you would find at these Ripley places that are in different locations around the world.  So, my sisters and I decided to take a chance and explore.

We saw many different things: one of the world's smallest cars, a mummy of a falcon, an exhibit of toothpick replicas of the Manhattan skyline and other famous places, a mirror maze, a 4D ride, a replica of some of the biggest people in the world in height and size, replicas of people with physical variations, like a 3-legged man, female Siamese twins, and many other curiosities.

The 4-D movie ride was fun and interesting.  You watch and become a part of cartoons that are shown.  The seats move and shake so that you are having the same experience as the characters on the screen.  In one movie, you are part of a high speed car race and in the other, you are part of the  Roadrunner and Coyote cartoon.   I think there is or was a similar ride in the Empire State Building, except the ESB used real footage instead of cartoons. We then went to have some scrumptious frozen custard at a place that had huge lines around it. The wait was worth it!

We would have taken a ride on the boats, but we  went to brunch for a few hours, so we ran out of time. We will have to go to the aquarium and cruise on some of the tour boats at another time.

It was a great day! So, if you want to have a low key day with lots of fun and/or funky stuff to do, then......TRY IT!!!!

YUMMY THAI IS VERY YUMMY!

I love Thai food. A place that has been around for a few years now is Yummy Thai in the Inwood neighborhood in upper Manhattan.

There are certain things that I must have at a Thai restaurant: pad thai with chicken or shrimp and thai iced tea.  They have both of those items and they are delicious!  I also love the ground chicken filled dumplings.  I ask for sides of sweet chili and peanut sauces.

Another dish I love is massumun curry which is made with avocado, onions, potatoes, and coconut milk.  I usually enjoy it, but when I received their version with beef, I did not like the beef.  This happened in its first year, so it may be worth trying again, but I stick with chicken and shrimp.

They have some great cheap drinks that are mostly between $5-$7.  I like the soju cocktail and the mojitos. Their drinks are made with sake and they are fantastic! They have a variety of flavors for their mimosas, including guava and passion fruit. Wow!

Everyone has their special likes at Thai restaurants, so the only way to figure out if this is a place for you is to come to this place and .........TRY IT!!!!!
