OBSESSED!!!!!! JO MALONE'S NECTARINE BLOSSOM AND HONEY COLOGNE!!!!!!

I don't go for subtle scents, but this Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey cologne is fantastic!!!! I am obsessed and transfixed. The subtle notes of peach, nectarine, and plum are magical to my nose.  I feel like I'm in a forest of fruit.  I also smell apricot, although that is not cited as one of the scent notes. 

It's not loud.  I wear it alone or mixed with my stronger scents to give them new life.  It's a happy scent.  People should feel joy around you when they smell it.  Sometimes I just spray it on myself to feel the rush of pleasure and happiness it gives me. It's addictive!!!!

Summertime Refreshers

Summer is approaching and what is more refreshing than an ice cold drink during a hot day? Hydrating yourself is especially important during the summer, but just drinking plain water all day may be too boring for some and reaching for drinks like, soda, juice, and sweet tea may seem like a good choice until you realize that ONE bottle has more added sugar than the daily recommendation!

If you want to stay hydrated and healthy without giving up flavor here are some recipes you might want to try. You can experiment with ingredients making one glass or make a large pitcher to share with friends.

Ingredients:

Water or Club Soda
Fruit: Lemon, Lime, Cucumber, Strawberry, Watermelon, Raspberry, etc
Optional Sweetener: Stevia, Agave, Honey
Directions 2 Options:
1. Choose your fruit and place in a large pitcher.
-Add in either water or club soda covering the fruit and filling the pitcher.
-Chill in the fridge or add ice.
-The longer you let the drink sit for the more flavored the water/club soda will be

2. Choose your fruit, muddle/squeeze/mash/blend the fruit to get the juice and flavor out. Muddling/Mashing can be done in a cup or bowl with any hard kitchen utensils, such as a fork or a wooden spoon.
-Add the mashed fruit into a cup or a pitcher. Drain or remove any seeds, rinds, or pulp if necessary.

-Add in either water or club soda, serve immediately or keep in the fridge.

Recipes and Delicious Combination Recommendation:

Cucumber Lemon Water-1Glass:
4-5 Cucumber Slices
1/2 Lemon Sliced or Squeezed
Add Ice, Water, and Enjoy!

Strawberry Lime Club Soda-Pitcher (2 Qt):
1-2 cups Strawberries Sliced (Blend or Mash)

2-3 Limes (Squeeze or Juice)
Add Club Soda, Stevia (optional), and Enjoy!

HELLO, EVERYONE!!!

 I BELIEVE HIGH-RISE CAN NOW BE SEEN IN MOVIE THEATERS IN THE UNITED STATES.  I BELIEVE THE BEGINNING DATE WAS ON MAY 13, 2016.

IT MAY ONLY BE IN SELECT CITIES, LIKE NEW YORK, SO YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR LOCAL LISTINGS.

AS I HAVE STATED, THIS MOVIE IS GREAT!  YOU WILL REALLY THINK ABOUT IT AFTER YOU HAVE SEEN IT AND WILL PROBABLY WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN.  I DEFINITELY WANT IT WHEN IT COMES OUT ON DVD.

HIGH RISE THE MOVIE - AVAILABLE ON DEMAND AND .......WOW!!!!!

As you know, I took a picture with one of the stars at the after party for Ben Wheatley's High Rise (It was Luke Evans - see previous post). Now it's finally out to the masses.  Here's my review.

High-Rise the movie with Tom Hiddleston, Luke Evans, Sienna Miller, and Jeremy Irons is now available on-demand (Check your cable service provider).  This movie is not for the faint of heart.  It is very graphic and very profound. The basic story is that there is a high-rise building that is filled with representations of the low to high social classes.  At some point, the system of everyone living in harmony becomes everyone living in discontent, then everyone ready to kill one another.

The movie was well acted by all the leads and it made me see these people in an even more esteemed light.  I think everyone brought up their game and I'm curious to see where they all will go from here.  I think more awards should be coming for this movie.

This movie had the same effect that Snowpiercer had on me at the end..... What?!!!!!!!!!  You are left with a lot of questions, like, "How did everything fall apart so fast?!", "Why did people stay?", "What's going to happen to all those bodies?", and many more questions!

I enjoyed the movie, precisely for that reason.  I also enjoyed the movie because it was a representational microcosm of the world that exists now.  There's so much going on and we can't always see the big picture. Then we step back and think, "How did we get here?"  There are class problems, race problems, and other social issues that are allowed to go so far before people realize that a serious problem has been created that could have been avoided if it had been addressed much sooner and honestly.

I hope that after you watch this movie that is based on a J.G. Ballard novel set in the seventies, that you see that there are many truths that still exist:  People/Classes staking out their territory, not realizing that working together for the benefit of everyone would benefit everyone.  Perhaps it's just human nature to want to dominate or feel dominant over another group, no matter how shallow that dominance is.

You're going to think about this movie long after you watch it, especially when wondering where these people will go after all this destruction.  Will they rebuild to something better or leave behind what was to be their Utopia?  Yes, many questions.

If you want a movie that makes you think all the way through it and after it, then.......TRY IT!!!!!!!!

IT ISN'T THE BEST PICTURE, BUT I TRIED. I TOOK THE SELFIE THAT CHANGED MY WORLD! LUKE EVANS WAS ARRIVING AT THE HIGH RISE SCREENING AFTER PARTY AND I HAD TO GET A PICTURE OF THIS EXCITING TALENT THAT I HAVE BEEN FAWNING ALLOVER FOR TWO YEARS.

HE WAS VERY SWEET AND HANDSOME, AS YOU WOULD EXPECT.  HE IS TALL AND SMELLS WOOOOOOOOOOONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!! HE FEELS QUITE SOLID AND BEEFY!

SO, HE REALLY IS SEXY AND YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.  MORE IMPORTANTLY, HIS PERFORMANCE IN HIGH RISE IS GETTING TOP NOTCH RAVES. HE IS INTENSE AND MAGNETIC IN THE ROLE.  AND IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH, HIS TRAILER FOR THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN IS OUT THIS WEEK!  HE LOOKS TOO STEAMY FOR WORDS IN THAT TRAILER.  WHOA!  I'M HAVING LUKE OVERLOAD AND LOVING IT!!!!!

SO, IF THIS CHARMING WELSH LAD SEEMS LIKE YOUR CUP OF TEA, THEN IN TERMS OF SEEING HIS MOVIES........TRY THEM!!!!!!
